11. Second floor

Individual floors of the former Workers’ Party’s regional headquarters hosted different departments; the lobbies on the right-hand side led e.g., to the Party’s District Committees. The District Committee for the city’s Old Town One was located one floor below, where the Enigma Cipher Centre offices are now. On the second floor there was the District Committee for Jeżyce. As of the 1980s, this part of the building was rented by a branch of the PKO Bank. The rooms opposite the stairs housed the general chancellery, while the hallway on the left accommodated the organisational department.
